I am a Professional Counsellor and E-Therapist.
I have an honours degree in Psychology from the University of South Africa and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town. I also have many years of counselling experience in various fields of psychology and pastoral counselling.
My personal journey and life experiences have allowed me to know and appreciate what it truly means to be healthy in mind, body and spirit, recognising that the three are inextricably intertwined. I am passionate about mental health and dedicated to discovering conscious and creative ways of healthy living and emotional healing.
I encompass a holistic approach to counselling and the therapeutic process which includes the body (nutrition, exercise and supplements), spirit (the importance of an enpowering spirituality) and mind.
Not only do I have experience in being a counsellor, I have also had the experience of being counselled. A chronic illness in 2001 left me feeling disempowered and significantly depressed. However, my own experience of illness only confirmed my commitment to counselling others as I developed a Gain Psychology of transcending our loss.
My areas of special interest include:
Most importantly, I love connecting with others in a meaningful way and drawing alongside them in the process of personal growth or helping them carry their pain.
